  4.       Note : These are only the highlights.  There have been many small
  5.              changes to the reader that we're sure you'll appreciate as
  6.              you use them.

  8.   + Full support for ".QWK Standard" doors added, including the ability
  9.     to read news, bulletins, and welcome screens.  Now you can use both
  10.     MegaMail and ".QWK Standard" (such as QMail, MarkMail, TomCat!, etc)
  11.     doors in the same reader, transparently.
  12.  
  13.   + Support for ANSI messages via a built-in ANSI screen viewer.  Just
  14.     press A and the message is displayed with full ANSI support!

  16.   + Full Support for John Hancock added, including the ability to shell
  17.     out and leave the screen intact for "stealing" tag lines.

  22.     NOTE : These are only the HIGHLIGHTS.  There are countless numbers
  23.            of "little things" in additoin to the "big things" that are
  24.            listed here that really add up to make a big difference in
  25.            the functionality of the reader.

  28.   +  Tag line engine revamped:  You can now have up to 50 tag lines
  29.      (instead of 10), and the random option has been replaced with a
  30.      "cycling" option that will cycle through all non-blank tag lines.

  32.   +  Completely automatic .UL and .DL packet management (configurable).
  33.      You'll never have to Import or Export again!
  34.  
  35.   +  Support for an external spell checker added to the internal editor.
  36.  
  37.   +  Full support for both Internal AND External editing, including the
  38.      ability to switch between the internal editor and the external
  39.      editor on the fly.

  41.   +  Conferences and BBS's are now kept sorted inside the reader

  43.   +  The triumphant return of the Quick Scan.  Everything that it could
  44.      do in previous versions plus many enhancements! Highlights of the
  45.      enhancements : The columns are now configurable - the USER controls
  46.      what is displayed in the quick scan!, TAGGING of messages added
  47.      giving a powerful and flexible way to deal with many messages at
  48.      once!, the ability to see only some messages (ie, only show mail TO
  49.      you, only show NEW mail, only show mail waiting to be exported,
  50.      etc.).

  52.   +   Line between header and text when reading/entering messages is now
  53.       configurable.  Turning it off gives you another line for reading
  54.       message text.

  56.   +   New flag added to message headers: Permanent.  This flag allows you
  57.       to selectively mark messages so that they won't be deleted or packed
  58.       out.

  60.   +   Added option to disable the tag line.  This option is only operational
  61.       on REGISTERED readers.

  64.   +   The display of the stats at the bottom of the screen when reading
  65.       mail is now configurable.  Turning both this option and the header
  66.       line (the one between the header and the text) gives you 19 lines
  67.       of text on a normal 25 line screen.  If you want more than that,
  68.       and you have a EGA or VGA card, you can use the /50 line mode
  69.       option and get up to 44 lines of text without zooming!

  71.   +   New BBS/Conf/Thread listing function allows you to see all of the
  72.       BBS's, conferences and (optionally) threads in your reader, along
  73.       with many statistics about each.  You can also jump to a BBS,
  74.       conference or thread by highlighting it, and you can also tag mail
  75.       on a BBS, Conference, or thread basis and perform operations on
  76.       it just like the Quick Scan Menu.  In addition, you can configure
  77.       this menu to come up each time the conference you are reading changes.

  79.   +   Message header display rearranged to provide another line for the
  80.       message text.

  82.   +   DOS Hotkeys function added -- allows accessing other programs
  83.       easily from inside the reader.

  85.   +   The reader is now able to swap to Disk or EMS memory (configurable)
  86.       when performing a DOS shell, DOS hotkeys, external editing, spell
  87.       checking, ZIPing, etc.

  89.   +    Many bug fixes and speed-ups over version 1.20.
